| Josette’s discovery of decorative painting in 1982 began her quest for artistic education. While studying with David Jansen, MDA, for over five years, Josette placed the focus of her education on the color theory and the study of historical styles of artistic interpretation. She received her D.E.P., Diploma of Professional Studies after completing an extensive, 900-hour course on “Finishing Furniture” and is now studying visual arts at the University of Quebec – UQAM. Josette also designs and teaches at her decorative art shop in Montreal, Verdun, and throughout the province of Quebec, Canada. Her career goal is to return decorative arts to its rightful place alongside fine art. In August 2004, she was appointed a Heritage Artist, one of the 8 coauthors of the Traditions Educational System. | |||||||||||||
