Neadeen discovered her love of painting at a young age; she was born and raised in the tropics, on the island of Trinidad in the southern Caribbean. This very relaxed, colorful heritage flavors much of her artwork and her approach to teaching as a whole. She’s been painting for over 36 years and teaching for almost half that time. Neadeen and her husband Bill have lived in Central British Columbia, in western Canada’s beautiful Okanagan Valley for the last 18 years where Neadeen has her teaching home studio.

Neadeen’s career goals have always been focused on education, and her love of teaching has become one of her life’s greatest rewards. Neadeen received her CDA still life from the National Society of Decorative Painters in 1997, then later entered the master’s program and passed the master floral in 2002 and the master still life in 2003. She says: “I have the absolute support of a wonderful husband and two awesome children. To have a career that is also a personal passion is an added bonus and one of life's great rewards. To have been given this gift of painting . . . a gift that I am able to share with so many through teaching, humor, and brush, is more than I could ever have dreamed of.”
